MANNA IN THE MORNING

The heart of the issue hasn’t shifted much over time—it’s still the sin of self. Idolatry doesn’t always show up as a carved image or a pagan altar. More often, it’s giving in to what pleases "us/me" most, even when it competes with what pleases the Lord most.

My hope can’t be in my performance or my ability to close a deal. Deals, deadlines, and even the “win” of a signed contract can’t be my Savior—and they’ll never deliver the fulfillment I think they will.

Reading 1 Kings 8:34 reminded me that God is always bringing us back—not just to physical lands, but to promises and places He prepared in advance for us to walk in. This was an emotional read for me this morning. It took me back to that moment in Mexico where I felt the call—and I still believe He called me. He just had a different picture in mind. It's still unfolding it.

What if true leadership isn’t about control—but trust? Solomon didn’t micromanage. He honored people, gave rest, and built with wisdom. Could that be why his kingdom flourished? What would it look like to lead like that today?

I’ve been praying that the Lord would shape the desires of my heart—and uproot the ones that are rooted in fear or self-protection. I don’t want to chase what He’s not asking of me, but I also don’t want to shrink back from what He is asking just because it feels like a lot...or did at one time.

Everything was coming against Solomon becoming king. Weapons were being formed, evil plans were unfolding, and even David hesitated to...

Im realizing If it’s what the Lord has called me to, I know it will be. No matter where I find myself—whether the timing Is off or Im off base In anyway— Lord, as I make plans, please direct my steps.

Lord, don’t let me get tangled up in the patterns of this world. Keep transforming my mind, day by day.
