MANNA IN THE MORNING

It's days like this I love to say it out loud, "God is good, God is good to me and God is good at being God!"

This was a hard one for me as I work on my own stuff regarding boundaries, trauma and relational dysfunction. I have so much to learn. Thankful for the Word to learn from!

Reflecting on 1 Samuel 25 and 26, I saw my past in Abigail’s story and my present in David’s restraint. Here's what I'm learning about kindness, strength, and letting God fight my battles.

Ever wanted to clap back but felt God say don’t? Same. This look at David sparing Saul hit me hard—instead of forcing his moment, he waited on God. Maybe it’s not punishment. Maybe it’s protection.

Trusting God with my singleness, my calling, and all the detours in between. If David could find refuge in enemy land, maybe I can find peace in this too.

I’ve wrestled with verses like 1 Samuel 28:6—where God doesn’t answer Saul—and wondered how that lines up with the God I know. Anyone else?

If you’ve ever wrestled with the feeling that people are getting away with doing wrong, here's a reminder, Saul may have been king, but his life was filled with fear, insecurity, and spiritual torment—reminding us that true justice often happens on the inside, not just in public outcomes.
