“When Hiram got Solomon’s message, he was delighted, exclaiming, ‘Blessed be God for giving David such a wise son to rule this flourishing people!’” 1 Kings 5:7 (MSG)

Solomon didn’t cut corners. He led with wisdom and intentionality, putting the right people in the right places—delegating with discernment and trusting others to carry real responsibility. AKA he didn't have to control and micromanage everything.

What strikes me most is how well he treated his people. He didn’t overwork them. He honored their time, gave them rest, and paid them well. He didn’t just value what they could produce—he valued them. I want to lead like that. I want to delegate well, trust deeply, and build something meaningful without burning people out in the process. I don’t want to be so focused on the the bottom line that I fail to remember it’s all the Lord’s anyways.
