Everything was coming against Solomon becoming king. Weapons were being formed, evil plans were unfolding, and even David hesitated to make it official. Maybe he didn't hesitate but he sure didn't have plans in place ahead of time. Thankfully none of it could stop what the Lord was doing. Solomon became the king.
What a RIGHT ON TIME reminder for me todayt: when God is the one appointing and anointing, nothing can stand in the way.
I needed that today. I can rest—because whether something is or isn’t yet, it’s still exactly where it needs to be.
“And Zadok and Nathan have anointed him at Gihon Spring as the new king. They have just returned, and the whole city is celebrating and rejoicing. That’s what all the noise is about. What’s more, Solomon is now sitting on the royal throne as king.”—1 Kings 1:45-46 NLT
