“_______ will jump for joy and shout in triumph as she sings praises and makes music for the Most High God… May _______ KNOW Your mercy and keep putting her trust in You, for she can count on You for help no matter what. O Lord, You will never, no never, neglect ________ who comes to You.”‭‭Psalms‬ ‭9‬:‭2‬, ‭10‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Are you noticing some missing parts to the scripture I quoted?! Ha ha, I did that intentionally. I have learned to take scripture and replace my name, or my children's name, in it to declare

promises and pray bold prayers. This morning, that's exactly what I did. When I read Psalms 9 this morning, the Holy Spirit immediately highlighted a prayer, if you will, so I put the names of some friends the Lord has me interceding for in a couple of the verses. Maybe you can relate to how they are feeling (I know I can).

They are weary and they are grieving. My heart aches, wishing there was something I could do to help. I feel so helpless, and I don't want to be that person who says, “Girl, get in the Word. Sit with Jesus. Turn on praise music. Speak the name of Jesus.” I want to comfort, love on, and help solve their troubles. As much as I may not want to be this person, I am this person. I am an empath who cares deeply. I have walked through some really tough things. As someone who's experienced a touch from the Father, I firmly believe one touch of the Father’s hand can and will be an encouragement, give healing, and offer strength when we feel we can’t see a way out.

When I feel like there is nothing to do, I know I can always lift them up to the Father and ask Him to step in on their behalf.

I thought I might share what I prayed this morning in case you too have a heavy heart personally, or for some loved ones or friends you may want to lift up before the Lord today. One thing I know for sure—when we put our trust in the Lord, I guarantee He will never leave us or forsake us. When we call on Him in prayer and stay in His Word (to be reminded regularly of Truth and who He is), we are doing our part.

My prayer today is that you do your part. Remember, simply keep seeking His face through His Word and play that worship music constantly to encourage your soul. If you didn’t read Psalms 8, you may have missed how we were reminded to worship like a child, with reckless abandon. When we do, it literally silences all efforts of the enemy.

Praise Him with reckless abandon, friend, and see how your soul responds.
