It’s almost like the Lord had to circle back this morning and say, “My Child, don’t miss this.”
“He did what was evil in the Lord’s sight, just as his father and mother had done… He followed the example of his father, continuing the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had led Israel to commit.”—1 Kings 22:52–53 NLT
What He showed me yesterday was clear: lay it down. Today emphasized again,
grace doesn’t erase the weight of what we pass on.
Sin is sticky—and if we don’t surrender it, our children might inherit it. Ahab’s son walked right into the same patterns. It didn’t start with him, but it continued through him.
That won’t be my story, Lord willing. Not anymore.
Lord, I lay it down. I surrender. No more questions and no more buts. Simply—Not my will, but Thy will be done.
