Good morning good morning. Some of the patterns of the Israelites are very difficult to watch day in and day out. Imagine what it was like to be Aaron or Moses? I can easily be affected by negativity and almost want to avoid anything or anyone being negative. There is one pattern I continue to see is how Moses and Aaron, who have taken their role very seriously, never waver in standing in the gap for the Israelites. So much of Moses' character feels like a foreshadowing of Christ.
I want to lead and intercede like Moses does! I love what I consistently see modeled, “forgive them, father for they know not what they do…
”“The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Move away from these men! I want to destroy them now!”” Numbers 16:20-21 ERV

““Get away from this community so that I may consume them instantly.” But they fell facedown.” Numbers 16: 45 CSB
One of the girls in our group shared very similarly today, "Today was quite entertaining. I had to stop many times and just sit and think.
'I’m like God help my heart because I’m fed up for Moses and Aaron. I’m like let them die 🫢😩.'
First thing that caught me off guard was v13: “Isn’t it enough that you brought us out of Egypt, a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us here in this wilderness, and that you now treat us like your subjects?” Numbers 16:13 NLT
So now Egypt was the land flowing with milk and honey? 😒 he really compared bondage to the promise land. So this immediately calls me to check myself and all the places I’m complaining and becoming delusional because of the wait.
'God give me a heart for your people like Moses and give me strength.'"
I loved her share too because it such a honest reflection of our human capacity and limitations. Again Moses reminds me so much of the character of Christ.
