Hebrews 3: Warning against Unbelief

Writer's picture: Kami PentecostKami Pentecost

“Instead, encourage each other every day, as long as it’s called “today,” so that none of you become insensitive to God because of sin’s deception.”

I’m thankful for the clarity about sin described here in verse 13 in verse 19. It really is talking about not trusting God, unbelief and lack of faith. AND it takes me back to verse 13 where it says to encourage each other every day. I love how the Word encourages us daily as we read one chapter a day.

“And against whom did he swear that they would never enter his rest, if not against the ones who were disobedient? We see that they couldn’t enter because of their lack of faith.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭3‬:‭13‬, ‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭CEB‬

My spirit cried out as I read my chapter for the day, "Lord strengthen my unbelief." Although I may be someone who seems to have great faith (which I believe I do have a decent faith) I know God is calling me higher and clearly there must be some unbelief In there or something.

Im listening with an open heart this morning. I want all that God has for me. I don’t want to have this gift before me sitting unopened. I’m so thankful and grateful.
