“Then they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul.” 2 Chronicles 15:12 (NKJV)

The word COVENANT is what the Lord highlighted for me today.

Entering into a covenant isn’t accidental. It’s intentional — I’m seeing a wedding ceremony.

I picture it like standing before the Lord and saying, “I choose You.” This isn’t a small thing, either are vows. Not just when I feel “in love” or when it’s convenient. But the way a bride and groom

ree

exchange vows — it’s promising faithfulness, surrender, and love that lasts beyond the initial emotional high.

My relationship with the Lord isn’t a situationship. A covenant is not built on feelings, it’s built on a vow — one I want to keep renewing every day. Day by day. Just like we commit to reading the Word chapter by chapter. Covenants are rarely convenient and they definitely aren't all about just "feeling like It!"

Sometimes I forget that seeking the Lord isn’t just about reading or obeying. It’s about belonging. It’s saying, “My heart is Yours.” It’s choosing Him again and again, even when distractions pull hard or life feels heavy.

Today, it felt like He was gently reminding me —our relationship isn’t a contract Im expected to perform under. It’s a covenant of love I get to live within.
