“They took the ark of God and brought it into the house of Dagon and set it beside [the image of] Dagon [their chief idol]. When the people of Ashdod got up early the next day, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord. So they took Dagon and returned him to his place.”
1 Samuel 5:2-3 AMP
This cracked me up. I love this so much.
They literally tried to put the Ark of the Covenant—God’s presence—next to their fake idol, Dagon. And Dagon ends up face down in front of the Ark 😂
We don’t need to strive or prove or force anything. Just let God be God. And watch what doesn’t belong fall right over.
When He is… He IS.
