Acts 21
RELENTLESS comes to mind today
“But he said, “Why all this weeping? You are breaking my heart! I am ready not only to be jailed at Jerusalem but even to die for the sake of the Lord Jesus.””
Acts of the Apostles 21:13 NLT
I don’t know that I ever noticed how comparative this is to what was going on with the Lord as he prepared to go to the cross. Paul just knows his calling and wants to walk it out no matter the cost. It almost makes me want to research Paul’s ministry over all and where it parallels to Christs ministry on earth. I love reading other translations to see more from this moment I may not be gathering. The bottom line is I see a relentless focus from Paul to not only spread the gospel to both Jew and gentile, but to encourage those that are walking with the Lord in their faith.
Regardless, I’m curious and contemplative this morning with what God has asked me to be relentless about in my walk with Christ. Is it to be a voice for the voiceless, the kids in the system? Is it about the Word of God and screaming from the mountain top, the power of the word?!?
“Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.”
Colossians 3:16 CSB
I’ve always teased that I was super anti-cheerleading growing up but now I know God put me on this earth to be an encouragement to other so I totally can relate to Paul in that way.
Yes, what a cliffhanger today was
