John 19
“Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me at all, unless it was given to you from above. This is why the one who betrayed me is guilty of an even greater sin.”
I am praying that the Lord will give me this kind of assurance today, realizing that nothing thwarts the plans of God, And if he does not permit it, it is not in His will and while sometimes it’s hard to understand why hard things are permitted, at the end of the day, I am confident He will use it for good. AND it will bring glory to His name.
One more thing…
Today as I read: But they screamed out, “Take him away! Take him away and crucify him!” Pilate replied, “Shall I nail your king to a cross?” The high priests answered, “We have no other king but Caesar!” John 19:11, 15 TPT I became so angry at how they treated Jesus who did nothing wrong.
But I love how immediately I was able to start taking that thought captive and Jesus' prayer “forgive them Father for they know not what they do” came into my mind.
I was a sinner in need of a saviour and I am so grateful that because of the price Jesus paid I have been justified by faith and am continually being transformed because of God‘s Word.
