Acts 13
I am somebody who doesn’t necessarily love to watch the news. I try to avoid getting caught up in all the noise around this year‘s election. Don’t get me wrong. I want to do my part, I plan to vote. But if I’m not careful, it’s easy to let fear creep in and dominate.
Today was such a sweet reminder that in the midst of a lot of things going on around me that ultimately God is on the throne.
The people craved for a king, so God gave them one from the tribe of Benjamin: Saul, the son of Kish, who ruled for forty years. After removing him, God raised up David to be king, for God said of him, ‘I have found in David, son of Jesse, a man who always pursues my heart and will accomplish all that I have destined him to do.
Acts 13:21-22 TPT
As the election approaches I am thankful that the Lord raises up and removes our leaders in office. May God raise up a great leader for our country. A man or woman who loves Jesus and like David, a man or woman after His heart.
