Today's reading falling on Palm Sunday is a marked moment for me, for sure!

“Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘This is the land that I promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I told them that I would give it to their descendants. Now I have let you see the land, but you will not go across the river into it.’”— Deuteronomy 34:4 (EASY)

Some translations say “you shall not cross over,” and it can sound harsh—like God is withholding something from Moses. I dug deeper into the language and compared translations, it became clear: it wasn’t that God didn’t want to let Moses enter the Promised Land… it’s that He couldn’t—not under the covenant they were still under.

What a powerful reminder of our need for grace.

Of our need for a Savior.

No matter how good we try to be, or how hard we strive to follow the law, the old system was never enough. Moses—as good as he was, as faithful as he lead—couldn’t enter the land.

“No other prophet has shown such great power and authority for all the Israelites to see.”— Deuteronomy 34:12 (EASY)

Moses saw signs and wonders and moved in extraordinary authority. What a reminder that without Jesus righteousness could not be obtained.

Here It Is, Palm Sunday, the day we celebrate Jesus riding In, knowing He was headed for the cross… to fulfill what the law could never do on its own. Today, I stand not under the old covenant, but the new one—the better one—because of Jesus.

In this season of singleness, this truth hits deeply. He is my first love. 💕 🎥 Watch the VLOG here

This morning, as Moses’ time came to an end, I turned this up loud and let it wash over me. What a Savior. What a gift. 🎵 “First Love” by Red Worship & Lizzie Morgan
