“‘Why go today?’ he asked. ‘It is neither a new moon festival nor a Sabbath.’ But she said, ‘It will be all right.’ … Gehazi asked her, ‘Is everything all right with you, your husband, and your child?’ ‘Yes,’ she said … But the boy’s mother said, ‘As surely as the Lord lives and you yourself live, I won’t go home unless you go with me.’” — 2 Kings 4:23, 26, 30 NLT

The Shunammite woman shows us what unshakable faith looks like. Even as her son lay lifeless at home, she declared, “It will be all right.” She refused to align her words with what she saw in the natural. When Gehazi asked specifically Is everything alright, she answered simply, “Yes.”

Her determination didn’t stop there. She would not accept a substitute miracle, insisting to Elisha: “I won’t go home unless you go with me.” She clung to the presence of God’s representative in her

day, knowing that breakthrough was only possible if he came.

This is a prophetic call for us today:

  • Guard your words in the face of impossibility.

  • Align your declarations with God’s power, not your present reality.

  • Refuse to leave His presence until He comes with you into the impossible situation.

The Lord is saying: If you will not waver, if you will speak life when everything in you wants to speak death, I will meet you in that place of persistence. What looks dead will breathe again by My Spirit.

Father, give me the faith of this woman who refused to let go of hope. Help me to guard my words and declare, “It will be all right,” even when everything looks broken. Teach me to cling to Your presence and not be satisfied with anything less than You going with me. I bring before You the places that look dead, and I ask for resurrection life to flow into them. Strengthen me to believe, to persist, and to trust that You will do what only You can do. In Jesus’ name, amen.
