“Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man’s body into Elisha’s tomb. When the body touched Elisha’s bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet.” —2 Kings 13:21 (NIV)

As I read the chapter In 2nd Kings I heard the Lord saying: “My Spirit has not grown weaker with time. The same Spirit that raised the dead man when his body touched Elisha’s bones is the Spirit I have placed within you. Why do you live as if you are powerless? Why do you bury dreams, silence prayers, and hold back from stepping into the authority I have given you? The greater works I promised are not reserved for prophets in history—they are meant for My children today. It is time to stir up the gift inside of you. Speak to what is dead. Pray with boldness. Lay hands in faith. My Spirit within you is not limited by death, delay, or decay. Use what I’ve entrusted to you.”

This story isn’t just about God proving His power through Elisha—it’s about reminding us that His power was never meant to die with the prophets. The Holy Spirit is alive in us right now. The question is: are we exercising the authority He’s given us, or letting it lie dormant? Let this truth

sink in—not only does His Word still breathe, but His Spirit still resurrects.

I encourage you to take a moment to worship:“Come Alive (Dry Bones)by Lauren Daigle or "House of Miracles" by Brandon Lake. As you sing, declare by faith that the same God who raised a nameless man through Elisha’s bones is breathing life into what feels dead in your own story.
