"But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram and sister of Ahaziah, took Joash son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the royal princes, who were about to be murdered. She put him and his nurse in a bedroom to hide him from Athaliah; so he was not killed.”—2 Kings 11:2 (NIV)
Today we read about a young girl making one small, courageous choice: she takes Joash, the only surviving heir to David’s throne, and hides him away. She saves the royal line. She preserves God’s promise. We don’t see any major recognition.
What a reminder that some of the greatest moves of God happen in spaces that go unnoticed. Not on stages, not in headlines, but in hidden obedience.
Right now, God may be moving through people whose names we’ll never know—through quiet sacrifices, through small acts of faithfulness, through choices that feel ordinary but ripple into

eternity.
For those of us serving in spaces where recognition is missing, where bonuses haven’t been given, where validation has not come—hear this: You are seen. YOU are not forgotten.
“Your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” (Matthew 6:4)
“God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him.” (Hebrews 6:10)
“The eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.” (2 Chronicles 16:9)
You may feel unseen, unrecognized, unappreciated, but you are not unnoticed. God records every act of faithfulness. He remembers every sacrifice. He strengthens every weary heart that chooses to keep serving. For the rest of us who that may not speak to, this is a call: pay attention. Look for the hidden ways God is working in people around you. Call it out. Celebrate it. Encourage it.
Don’t let the quiet miracles go by unnoticed. Sometimes the greatest heroes of faith aren’t the ones whose names are remembered, but the ones who dared to obey anyway.
