I have been overwhelmed with the specificity and the detail required for the tabernacle, the altar and now the attire for the priests. I imagine since they are in the wilderness they do not have access to all the things they would on a regular basis let alone the significant detail described in
these last several chapters. I can only imagine what it took to make sure it was meeting the proper standards necessary to be worthy of God's presence.
I can't help but find myself wondering if all the intricate details necessary to follow Jesus would've been something I was willing to do. I don't know if it is the reality that it is Christmas and all the prep that goes into getting ready for the holidays or if it's just the fact that I'm getting older or what, but I just find myself taking a deep breath as I read through these chapters feeling so very grateful that I get to have a relationship with my Lord and Savior without barriers.
I'm thankful for a Savior that wanted to remove any and all obstacles that kept us from being in one another's presence. I am a big romantic at heart and I love how much the Lord pursues me (us.) I'm just feeling really grateful this Christmas season.
