Exodus 14: I am thankful for this reminder today!

“The angel of God that had been leading the camp of Israel now shifted and got behind them. And the Pillar of Cloud that had been in front also shifted to the rear. The Cloud was now between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel. The Cloud enshrouded one camp in darkness and flooded the other with light. The two camps didn’t come near each other all night.”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭14‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭MSG‬‬

I love the physical example of the spiritual reality of how the Lord goes before us, surrounds us, and is always with us as believers. It may not be a "cloud" as the Israelites had, but we do have the Holy Spirit. As I think about the various situations and or challenges that may be before me or that I am walking in it is such a comfort to remember that my God is with me. No matter what I'm going through I find so much comfort in KNOWING He is before me and behind me. He is hemming me in. It's also something that serves as a reminder of this truth for my Children too.

I got to see Syrus play basketball last night. I hadn't seen him play yet this season. He came up and gave us hugs and said "hi" afterwards and I was so grateful. There has been so many changes this year. All for the best and yet some of them not the easiest.

We have had so much transition with 2 boys moving out and into college, 1 going to school in South Carolina, Colton is at a new public school in the area and Skyler in High School still at Bradenton Christian. It's a lot for sure.

As much as I try not to worry or think of all they are doing, I am a mama who loves her kiddos so much. I want nothing but the best for them. I continue to ask the Lord to ever be before my children as they come and go. No matter where their feet land, He would be with them. Im so thankful they have HIM in them. Specifically I also pray He would "Make my children uneasy if they are walking outside of His will." It's a bold prayer, but a necessary one as we all go in different directions. I pray each one of them can truly receive what God has for them and most importantly receive who He says they are.
